Christened in May 2003, NYCSailing.com was developed to promote a welcoming and open sailing community in the metro New York City area. Our primary objective is to support an active, free online crew/skipper list modeled after the success of SFSailing.com.

Covering the metro NYC area--from Montauk to Sandy Hook--NYCSailing.com is managed and promoted by volunteers who are keen on connecting with fellow sailing enthusiasts in the NYC tri-state area.

If you love to sail and live/work within a 90-minute drive of Manhattan, NYCSailing.com is for you.

Note from Leslie, NYCSailing.com Manager: When I returned to NYC from San Francisco, I was disappointed that I couldn't find an NYC Harbor community crew list online or offline. In fact I couldn't find a community crew list for anywhere in the NYC Metro area. During several seasons sailing in the SF Bay using SFSailing.com's crew list, I met many interesting and welcoming captains and fellow crew. So I launched NYCSailing.com in Spring 2003. I hope you find good crew and good company using this site.
